We hope your Holidays were enjoyable and our recent touch of winter did not disrupt your schedule too much. We closed our offices Wednesday and Thursday and cancelled the clinics that were scheduled for Thursday. Fortunately we were able to reschedule most of our clients for the following week. Friday morning we will determine whether to cancel the Friday clinics.

Juanita Cope joins ELAP while Brandy Andersson is on Leave

Juanita Cope has stepped into the position of ELAP Domestic Violence Staff Attorney while Brandy Andersson is on maternity leave. On Friday, September 16, 2011 Brandy gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Brandy will be on leave for about 2 months, and ELAP welcomes Juanita who has substantial experience with family law and domestic violence matters, and is a pleasure to work with!

ELAP Legal Needs Assessment Survey

ELAP is conducting a Legal Needs Assessment Survey for East and Northeast King County. Agencies which serve low-income residents of the Eastside are asked to take a few minutes to take the survey. EKCBA Supports ELAP Grant Request

Norman Archibald Charitable Foundation Grant Received

August 17th, 2011

The Norman Archibald Charitable Foundation provided ELAP with a $5,000 grant to purchase a networked color copier / printer / scanner / fax machine. We thank the foundation for this grant which will improve our efficiency in serving our clients and will reduce our monthly expenses.
